Brookmont’s new landscape program is continuing to take shape. There’s been some substantial progress on the Greenhood Crescent landscape buffer reserve, the Curtis Road verges and streetscape within the project.
The landscape completion of these public scapes and verges will assist in providing strong greenspaces and streetscapes within the project – which are such an important feature of our neighbourhood. And it’s not just because they look good, either – recent research shows well-placed and planted street trees decrease the average temperatures within suburbs, and another study found that hedges and street trees reduce air pollution.
We’ll continue to work with our landscape partners to drive progress in this area, and look forward to seeing the greenery grow year on year!
